Beattitude is a community based at St Mary le Wigford church in Lincoln’s city centre. The service offers a place to go for the homeless and vulnerably housed where they can receive food, drinks, companionship and support.
In recent years, Nomad and Beattitude have worked together in order to help those most vulnerable in the city. Where service users stay the night at the Nomad shelter, they access Beattitude for breakfast and an evening meal, the majority of the food is supplied by Nomad from donations received from churches, schools and members of the public.
The admissions procedure for accessing the Nomad shelter is held at Beattitude at 8:30 each evening. Nomad staff have a list of names of those who stayed the previous night and who can access again, subject to risk assessment. New people will be offered a bed if there are any spaces available.
