Main Purpose of the job

Shop Volunteer - To assist in the running of the shop by selling, sorting donations and setting out the shop

Responsible to

The Shop Supervisor and Shop Manager.

Specific tasks

1. To use the till when required
2. To sort donations as instructed by the Shop Supervisor or Shop Manager
3. To dress shelves and windows as requested
4. To remain professional and polite at all times
5. When on the shop floor, you must remain tidy and presentable

• To follow Health & Safety guidelines at all times.
• To complete timesheet and any other paperwork that may be required relevant to a task.
• To report to the staff on duty any defects in fixtures and fittings.
• To assist in keeping premises clean and tidy, with equipment stored safely and securely.
• To help foster good neighbour and community relationships within the local area
• To work within the aims and ethos of the Nomad Trust.

No volunteers are asked to carry out tasks outside of their abilities.

Previous experience required

Ability to use a till preferable but not necessary.
