Night Shelter Volunteer - To serve drinks and light snacks to the service users and act as a support to the night staff.Responsible to
The Volunteer Manager and the staff on duty.Specific tasks
- To serve drinks and snack to the service users
- To clean up the kitchen to an acceptable standard
- To talk to the service users.
- Give encouragement and be positive in supporting the service users.
- Help the service users with tasks such as form filling as required.
- Maintain service user confidentiality outside The Nomad Trust.
- Take part in the evening’s activities.
- Maintain a professional approach.
- Wear appropriate clothing in line with our dress code.
- Assist support staff as requested.
- To follow Health & Safety guidelines at all times.
- To complete timesheet and any other paperwork that may be required relevant to a task.
- To report to the staff on duty any defects in fixtures and fittings.
- To assist in keeping premises clean and tidy, with equipment stored safely and securely.
- To help foster good neighbour and community relationships within the local area
- To work within the aims and ethos of the Nomad Trust.
No volunteers are asked to carry out tasks outside of their abilities.
